Joe’s history
My passion for cars came early in life. My passion for cruising and starting a company combining those two passions would start much later in life. At the age of 12, I owned my first car, a 1950 Dodge. The engine had a blown piston. I managed to replace the piston and get the car running. By 14 years old I was on my third car and had learned the skills to paint cars. I continued my love for tinkering and by 18 I had owned 5 old cars doing all of the body and mechanical work myself. General Motors became my lifelong career job but most of my spare time was spent buying and restoring old cars. After retiring from General Motors, I opened up West Coast Car Connection Inc., a successful collector car restoration and retail facility in Eastpointe, Michigan. That business lead to the opening of Collector Car Enterprise Inc., a company that provides collector car seminars to the public. So how does all of this lead to Catch A Wave Productions? I took my first cruise in 1986 and was hooked on cruising, now having just completed my 19th cruise, loving every one of them. The opportunity of combining my love for collector cars and my love for cruising was a dream come true and Catch A Wave Productions Inc. was launched.

Rich's history
Like Joe, my passion for cars started early in life. I remember going to the 1964 World’s Fair in NY when we drove through the Ford Rotunda in a bucket seat-equipped Ford Mustang and on the same day seeing one of the Chrysler Turbine Car over at the Chrysler exhibit. At about the same time I remember watching the first Ford GTs run at Le Mans on ABC’s Wild World of Sports. At 17, my first car was a 1965 AMC Rambler American 440H hardtop, starting a life long love affair with the cars from Kenosha. After graduating from college and teaching high school social studies I decided to open up a mobile electronics specialty store, Kartunes in Scotch Plains, NJ. At this time I started writing about cars and over the years I have served as the Editor-In-Chief of Car Audio and Electronics and have contributed to more than 50 automotive and consumer electronics titles around the world, including Motor Trend and Car and Driver in the US, Octane in the UK and Automobiles Classiques in France. And starting this March 2007, I have launched Automotive Traveler, and online-only automotive adventure travel magazine at automotivetraveler.com
